Problems of Fisheries is a leading scientific journal of the fishing industry in Russia. The content of the journal consists of scientific articles and reports dealing with important problems of domestic and world fisheries, analysis of international information on the raw material base of fisheries, political, economic and social aspects of fisheries development, the state of biological resources of the World Ocean, genetics and breeding, physiology and biochemistry of commercial fish species and aquaculture. The journal presents problem and review articles, book reviews and monographs, information about national and international conferences, symposiums and meetings. Many publications, in addition to the scientific component, contain important information of significant interest to the practice of fishing.

Problems of Fisheries is published 4 times a year, with a circulation of 300 copies. About 1500 scientific articles and reports have been published in the journal since 2000. All articles submitted to the editorial office are reviewed and scientifically edited. The reviewers of the journal Problems of Fisheries are famous scientists of Fisheries Research Institutes, Russian Academy of Sciences and other scientific organizations.
