BIOLOGY OF COMMERCIAL HYDROBIONTS
In the management of the blue whiting fishery, the problem of exceeding the scientifically justified catch remains due to the lack of an agreement on national shares between Coastal States. In order to obtain additional data necessary to reach an agreement, a NEAFC Working Group was established by the Coastal States to form a report on the zonal distribution of the reserve. Until March 2022, a Russian specialist took part in the work of the group. The article analyzes the main results of the distribution of both international catches of blue whiting and biomass of the stock in accordance with the data of the international survey, according to the NEA economic, fishing zones and international waters for the period 2010–2020 was conducted. It was found out that during this period the largest part of the blue whiting of the stock was distributed in the fishing zone of the Faroe Islands, exclusive economic zones of the EU, Great Britain and economic zone of the Norway. The economic zones of Ireland (EU) and Great Britain were the main «holders» of the spawning stock with the most active fishing in the spring, while the Faroese fishing zone is the most significant zone through which the main migrations of a significant part of the stock pass throughout the year. The waters of the Norwegian economic zone were the main habitat of immature juveniles and feeding fish, to a somewhat lesser extent this applied to the waters of the Iceland economic zone. The results of this work can be used as a basis for dividing the total available catch of the blue whiting into national shares and can accelerate the achievement of an agreement between the Coastal States.
A significant amount of data collected during spring complex surveys in the northern part of the Sea of Okhotsk allowed us to characterize pollock spawning in the period 2011–2020. It was found that, on average, during the period under review, caviar accumulations of various densities occupied up to 90% of the surveyed water area. In the spring period caviar on the early stages of development was found on a larger area of the studied landfill, with the exception of some marine stations, where it was absent from catches. At the same time accumulations of caviar on the late stages of development occupied a smaller area, and the densest concentrations indicating the beginning of spawning were noted in the waters off southwestern Kamchatka and above the Swan Hill. In the waters off the West Kamchatka coast 75% of the caviar was located above depths of 50–150 m and only 22% – outside the shelf. A similar distribution of caviar was noted in the North Okhotomorsky district – 76% developed within the shelf and 31% – over the deep-water part of the district. In the Shelikhov Bay the densest concentrations of caviar were located above the deep-water trough during all years of research.

An analytical assessment of the state of the bream stock in the Nizhnekamsk reservoir was carried out using the method for stocks with limited data – CMSY (Catch-based method). The results obtained indicate sufficient reliability of the use of this model for the bream stock, based on data from official catch statistics of this species. The calculations showed that during the history of exploitation of this population, fishing was carried out mainly in a zone biologically safe for the stock. Since 2017, the catch of bream has increased sharply and currently the fishing volumes are at their maximum values for all the years of the reservoir’s existence. The indicators of current estimates of the stock biomass and fishing mortality exceed their target guidelines and indicate that at the moment the biomass of the bream stock of the Nizhnekamsk reservoir is already in a biologically unsafe zone, and fishing mortality is twice the level of target exploitation.
The combined stock assessment approach to estimate and forecast the biomass and fisheries of the gobies population in Azov Sea are presented. Biomass stock assessment during the period 2015–2022 performed based on Pella-Tomlinson surplus production model within aprior parametrization by JABBA package. In terms of change the control parameter (from fisheries to environmental conditions) biomass forecasting done by main biological process modelling: spawning process by Ricker’s stock-recruitment model, instant natural mortality by Charnov approximation method, population annual weight gain by relative weight assumption. The current state of gobies stock biomass in Azov Sea during 2022 is depleted, estimated on level of B2022 = 12,5 ths. t., lower that limit reference point value Blim = 14,9 ths. t. Such depleted stock status can be just partial explained by overfishing during the 2016–2019. During the forecast period, 2023–2024, there is no scenarios exists to gobies population recovery, even in total fishery prohibition.
Recently in Lake Baikal there was observed decrease in population of the most abundant species among commercial fish – Baikal omul (Coregonus migratorius). That is why restrictive measures have been imposed on its catches. A hydroacoustic method based on hydroacoustic surveys was used to assess the evolution of the Omul population during the period of restrictive measures in one of the most productive fishery areas – the Northen Baikal. This work represented the results of three-year hydroacoustic research (2021, 2022 and 2023) in the first decade of June. Taking into account the confidence intervals for estimating the number and biomass of Omul, the stock in Northen Baikal is quite stable. The omul spatial distribution on the investigated areas is also stable.
The significance of Terpeniya Bay in the salmon economy of the Sakhalin оblast is considered. The dynamics of pink salmon catches in this area for the period from 1978 to the present day is reflected. The circumstances of the organization of pink salmon fishery in Terpeniya Bay are considered. The variants for the decision of the questions connected with the optimum organization of fishing of one of the mass kinds of fishing are offered.

The data on the Pacific herring fishery of the Dekastri population in the northern part of the Tatar Strait in 1930–2022 are presented. The catch from 1930 to 1959 based on spawning aggregations, and averaged 7,27 thousand tons. From 1960 to 1997, feeding herring was caught, the average annual catch was 1,61 thousand tons. In subsequent years, and up to the present, the fishery is not carried out for organizational and economic reasons. It shown that from the beginning of the fishery organization to the second half of the 1990s, the catch largely determined by the state of the stocks.

Experimental work on the disinfection of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) eggs with a working solution of Iodinol (100 mg/l of active iodine) during fertilization, at the activation stage (instead of water or an activator), and subsequent swelling in a fresh solution of Iodinal for 30 minutes, does not result to increase the waste of eggs, larvae and juveniles grown in aquaculture for 3 months. The high efficiency of using the working solution of iodinol (100 mg/ml of active iodine) for the treatment of fertilized trout eggs experimentally infected with three fish viruses was shown.
Based on the results of identification of marked fish in samples from catches in rivers and coastal areas, the proportion of pink salmon Oncorhynchus gorbuscha marked at the hatchery «Pugachevsky», «Bakhura» and «Anivsky» in approaches to different areas of the eastern coast of Sakhalin Island was calculated probable abundance, survival rates and indexes commercial removals of marked fish in 2018. Extrapolation of the results of the study of commercial and biological indicators of marked pink salmon to the unmarked part of the factory herd allows us to consider that the total number of returns of factory pink salmon to eastern Sakhalin waters in 2018 amounted to 1,5 million fish. The coastal fishery was catch 0,8 thousand tons of pink salmon of artificial reproduction.
The article presents generalized results of the experimental rearing of two-year-old rainbow trout using specialized trout feed by LLC «PROMETRIKA» in the conditions of the pool workshop of the scientific and production base Dukhovnitskoye Fish Farm (R. Dukhovnitskoye, Saratov Region) in 2022. An assessment of changes is given morphophysiological characteristics of fish and commercial qualities, mainly the degree of coloration of muscle fibers, with the help of which the efficiency of using the experimental feed with the content of the feed additive «AstaPet 10%» was determined. On the basis of the data obtained, it can be concluded that the use of this preparation, which enhances the color intensity of fish tissues in the feed of LLC «PROMETRIKA», has a positive effect, which allows us to recommend this preparation for use in factories for the production of feed for trout and, later on, in fish breeding enterprises engaged in their production grow.

The article addresses the issue of calculating the movement, flow and hydrodynamic qualities of twisted ropes. The external form of twisted ropes varies depending on the conditions under which it must be operated. For the correct choice of twisted ropes, experimental studies are carried out on special installations, as well as using computer simulations. The determining hydrodynamic coefficients of twisted ropes are the resistance force coefficient, the passport (deepening) force coefficient and the lateral force coefficient. Computer modeling of twisted ropes is beginning to be widely used to find optimal solutions for their twisting in terms of hydrodynamics and strength.
ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL ASPECTS OF FISHERY DEVELOPMENT

Digital transformation and process approaches have significant potential for improving efficiency and development in the agroindustry. Digital tools like Internet of Things (IoT), data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and blockchain enable data collection, analysis, process management, and interconnection of various entities within the APC production chain, facilitating informed decision-making, production optimization, and enhanced product quality. However, implementing digital transformation in the agroindustry faces challenges such as limited access to technology and infrastructure, shortage of skilled workforce, high costs of technology upgrades, and data security and confidentiality concerns. To overcome these challenges, attention should be given to education and training of specialists, financial support for small and medium-sized enterprises, development of partnerships among government entities, private sector, and academic institutions, and promotion of awareness and knowledge exchange.
