ПРОМЫСЕЛ ГИДРОБИОНТОВ

7-27
Abstract

The subject of this article is an assessment of reference points and the state of the black halibut stock in the Barents Sea. Despite the abundance of information accumulated over the years of fishing and research, the uncertainty of the dynamics of the stock remains quite high. The article describes and analyzes all currently known sources of information about the state of the stock –data from surveys, fishing statistics and the age structure of catches. Several types of models are being built – production models and age-structured model. The MSY value at the level of 28–32 thousand tons were obtained as a result of applying three different approaches to stock modeling: production models, combining cohort and production models and constructing a yield-recruit curve based on cohort models data. Despite the much greater uncertainty in the estimates of biomass, the current fishing intensity can be considered close to optimal based on the estimates obtained.

Abstract

This study provides information on the long-term catch and fishing structure of the Sardine cisco Coregonus sardinella in the Gydan basin. A brief biological characteristic of the species is presented. Using the population model CMSY estimates of the size of the Siberian grouse stock and guidelines for managing its fishery were obtained. The model values of biomass turned out to be close to the results of studies in the 1980s.Based on the data obtained, a conclusion is made about the high number of siberian cisco in the basin under consideration. Various forecast scenarios for further management of the fishery are proposed.

Abstract

In the Pollock fishery in the northeastern of the Sea of Okhotsk, it is not uncommon for non-target fish bycatch to exceed the 20% limit established by the Fishery Rules and can reach significant values (over 90%). Specifying in the message sent to the territorial department of Rosrybolovstvo the total amount of bycatch of young fish (in %), in case of exceeding the allowable bycatch, will allow to react quickly to such situations and temporarily close the fishing areas directly during the fishing season. The specialists of KamchatNIRO prepared the corresponding proposals for amendments of clauses 38,4 and 38,5 of the new edition of the Fishery Rules for the Far Eastern Fishery Basin in 2020 which came into force on September 1, 2022.

Abstract

Pink salmon is a traditional object of fishing in Sakhalin coastal waters of the Tatar strait, where it was caught for a long time off the southern part of the coast. In the last 20 years, there has been a shift in timing of pink salmon approach to the area of trap-nets a later date, as well as the main fishing sites shifting from the southern to the central areas of the coast. During these years, water cooling has observed in May, which could cause a delay in fish migration to the Tatar Strait. Also, in June and July in the northern regions, due to rapid warming, the water temperature became the same as in the southern regions of the strait. It’s known that such thermal regime changes largely determined by the intensity of penetration of the Tsushima current waters into the Tatar Strait, which apparently caused the shift of pink salmon accumulations in the strait to the north.

Abstract

The catches of flounders and sculpins in the fishery in the Peter the Great Bay with a seine and fixed nets are considered. Their value is compared with the value of catches by bottom trawl. Based on the accounting survey and data on the number of fishing efforts, the total catch per effort of flounders and sculpins in the Primorye subzone in 2022 as well as the total catch per effort of concrete species of these objects were determined. The revealed patterns can be used in the preparation of forecasts of the state of the studied species in the Primorye subzone.

Abstract

The article presents the first experimental data on the operation of a mid-depth trawl 18/95 m for catching vendace (Coregonus albula) in Lake Vishtynets, Kaliningrad Region. Lake Vishtynets is a testing ground for the study of industrial fishing gear. The trawl was towed taking into account the capacities of two interconnected (in a catamaran) motor boats: «Wellboat» (motor with a capacity of 25 l / s or 18,3 kW). When designing a mid-depth trawl 18/95 m, data from experiments with a floating anchor and software «Computer-aided design system for industrial fishing gear (CAD-OR)» were used. The technical characteristics of the 18/95 m trawl project were obtained. These experiments were carried out on the basis of previous studies in the Fishering Service hydrochannel.

Abstract

Japanese icefish Salangichthys microdon is a commercial but little studied species in the Far Eastern waters of Russia. The intraseasonal and interannual dynamics of estimates of the abundance of noodle fish in estuaries is characterized by sharp fluctuations: the values of the minimum and maximum estimates differ by more than 100 times. The instant total mortality rate of fish noodles is 2,06, and the total annual mortality rate is 0,87.

Abstract

The data on the biology and fishing of pollock in the northern part of the Sea of Okhotsk collected during its monitoring on fishing vessels in the winter-spring period 2001–2021 are analyzed. Analysis of the dislocation of the fishing fleet makes it possible to trace the formation and distribution of pollock clusters. A significant amount of the collected material made it possible to characterize the dynamics of gonad maturation and the change in the size and age structure of individuals in commercial subzones. Pollock fishing usually began in the Kamchatka-Kuril subzone and partly in the North Okhotsk subzone in the area of the Swan Upland, with gradual development northward into Shelikhov Bay, Pritaui district and the North Okhotsk shelf. The basis of the catches was pollock at the age of 5–8 years at the pre-spawning stages of the development of sexual products. By-catch of juveniles varied from 0,5% (2009) to 63,5% (2018), averaging 23,5% in the North Okhotsk subzone, 34,8% in the West Kamchatka subzone and 15,5% in the Kamchatka-Kuril subzone.

Abstract

An analytical review of the stock assessment and fishery regulation of the Barents and Norwegian Seas beaked redfish is presented. Model estimates of stock dynamics are characterized by uncertainty associated with incomplete coverage of the beaked redfish distribution in surveys, age determination problems, and assumptions made in the model. The regulation of fishing mortality is based on the precautionary approach, and the main management aim is achievement of the maximum sustainable yield. Technical measures include limiting the minimum mesh size in the trawl, establishing a minimum fish length for fishery, temporal fishery closures and limiting by-catch in multi-species fisheries. The unregulated fishery of the Norwegian-Barents Sea beaked redfish in the 1970s was one of the reasons for the decline in its stock and appearance of poor recruitment, which led to the ban on its targeted fishing in the Norwegian Economic Zone and in the fish protection area of the Svalbard. In 2014, the fishing was reopened. At present, the stock of beaked redfish of the Norwegian-Barents Sea population is in a safe state and further growth of the catch is expected.

Abstract

The biological characteristics of the European flounder of the lower reaches of the Mezen River are described. The maximum age of 18 years was noted, the maximum zoological length and weight: 41,2 cm and 680 g. The size and weight characteristics of individuals for each age are given. The relationship between the length and mass of the river body is described by a power function. Single maturing individuals were caught at the age of 4 years in females and 3 years in males. The bulk of the fish ripens at 4–5 years of age. Food items are marked: amphipods, bivalve mollusks, insect larvae, including brooks, sipunculids, fish objects. The average absolute fecundity of European flounder is 550 thousand eggs.

Abstract

An experimental cultivation of rainbow trout was carried out using the selenium-containing feed additive «Kormogran Selen-3». According to a number of morphometric parameters, there were no significant true differences between the experimental and control groups, however, an intensification of fat metabolism in the trout of the experimental group was established, which slowed down the process of accumulation of intracavitary fat by individuals. This caused some lag in the process of total mass accumulation and some decrease in fish-breeding and biological indicators. At the same time, there was no decrease in the rate of linear growth and overall development of fish. The main accumulation of selenium occurred in the liver, where its content increased by 613,9 times (from 1112 to 15363 μg/kg). At the same time, the content of this element in white muscles increased by 5,2 times, and in red – by 2 times, which indicates the possibility of intravital enrichment of muscle tissue of rainbow trout with selenium. The analysis of the quality of commercial fish and its nutritional value showed the advantages of the experimental batch in comparison with the control of the yield of edible parts, organoleptic evaluation of smoked products, which at the same time can be attributed to a functional product as a source of selenium.

Abstract

A new three-breed cross-hybrid of carp has been obtained in the fish farm «Kirya» of the Chuvash region (RF). A comparative assessment of the fingerlings showed the advantages of the cross over other crosses grown in the same farm (Sursky malokostny and Petrovsky) on a number of indicators: weight, body length, indices of high-spin, physical development. In the youngsters of the new cross, the intensity of hematopoiesis (erythropoiesis and leukopoiesis) is higher than in the rest of the studied crosses. The content of lysosomal cationic protein in the blood neutrophils of the new cross-hybrid is at an optimal level and indicates a good state of cellular immunity of fish.

Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to describe the patterns of price formation for fish products, which are basic food products. Our analysis uses the method of decomposing price dynamics into two components: a trend that is explained by long-term factors and short-term volatility. It is desirable to conclude that the rise in prices for fish products, which in recent years has outpaced general food inflation, has led to a marked reduction in the consumption of fish products. Price growth not only outpaced general food inflation, but was highly volatile. Our study of the dynamics of prices for the most popular fish product – frozen cut fish revealed a cyclical change in prices against the background of its exponential growth and an increase in the spread of price changes relative to the trend. These features pose a threat to food security, since the domestic fish industry as a whole, having achieved self-sufficiency in the country with fish products, has not yet solved the problem of its low availability for consumers.
